What "Upgrade" means:
Changing from a free plan to a paid plan
Upgrading to a higher plan
Example: Changing from an Essential plan to an Advanced plan
Increasing the monthly routing quota
Changing from monthly to annual billing
Payment Process
If you change to a higher plan or switch from monthly to annual billing, the remaining duration of your existing subscription will be pro-rated and refunded as a deposit.
The subscription fee for the upgraded plan will be charged for the remaining duration. The refunded deposit will be used first, and the difference will then be charged.
Example: If you paid for the [Basic 50] plan on July 6 and upgraded to [Basic 100] on July 26.
When changing plans, the refund period starts from the next day. Features from the upgraded plan are immediately activated, so the subscription fee applies from the day of the upgrade.
The service considers usage on a daily basis. Even if you use the service for just one minute in a day, you are considered to have used it for that day. As a side effect of this, refunds are processed from the day after the plan change.
Why are refunds given as a deposit?
For annual subscriptions, the card might expire, making it technically impossible to cancel the transaction. To address this system issue and the varying speed of transaction completions across countries, all refunds are given as deposits.
